Oasis Small Group Ministry

It’s in our DNA—God creates each human being to be in relationship with other human beings. We are to live life as members of communities, not as isolated individuals existing alone on desert islands. So, if we’re suppose to “live life together” . . . then we might as well enjoy it! Right?

Oasis Small Groups are designed to bring people together to enjoy life through fun and fellowship. But people have fun in different ways. Not everyone enjoys watching the Super Bowl. Not everyone enjoys organizing photographs and memorabilia into scrapbooks. Not everyone likes to play board games. Not everyone wants to “jam” with musicians. So our intent is to provide a growing “smorgasbord” of interest-based activities where people can plug-in and have fun.

Just give Gary (413.8326) a call and we’ll help all interested parties find a niche in their own special Oasis Small Group. Fill out the Oasis Interest Survey . . . and we’ll start working right away on getting you into a group. But if surveys scare you, just call us and we’ll get the ball rollin’! And if you’d like to look into starting a new Oasis Group with a special interest in mind, call us!

SCRIPTURE SCRAPBOOKING
This is a group for women who love to snip and scrap! Join us as we pray together and share our pictures around a devotional theme. Currently we are studying the Christian Living A-Z. Contact Amy Wilson to receive the latest and greatest materials for your scrapbook!

COMING OASIS ATTRACTIONS . . .

DINNER IN
A monthly get-together celebrating the joys of food and dining though unique culinary experiences will be at the heart of this small group now in the process of organizing. Pot luck dinners with themes and cultural influences can’t help but have a special appeal to those who truly enjoy cooking (and eating!) while sharing in table fellowship. CROSS MAKERS
Have you had that nagging desire to explore the inner creativity you know exists but haven’t found yet? Well, Jim Blair is looking forward to sharing his creative juices and special cross-making talents with those who want to find and express their own God-given talents.
